VIL: Overview - Decimus' Journey
Overview - Decimus' Journey
After repairing the water supply to the baths in Pompeii, Decimus is awarded some leisure time. He decides to explore the city of Pompeii. The streets are busy with merchants selling goods, locals stopping into shops and slaves running errands.
Just as Decimus turns off the main forum, he notices a beautiful woman across the way speaking to the local baker. Decimus immediately recognizes the woman: it's Flavia, the woman he helped after she was robbed. He notices that she is wearing the recovered golden fibula.
At that very moment, Flavia looked up and notices the brave soldier she met along the Via Appia. She smiles and graciously thanks Decimus. Then Flavia invites him to join her as she visits her friends Gaius Saturninus and Cassia, who live nearby in the city.
