Introduction


Today the United States’ Constitution stands as one of the most powerful and effective governing documents in the history of mankind. But it was not always so strong. This module will look at the strengths and weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation, key arguments for strengthening our central government, the emergence of opposing viewpoints on how our government should framed and key compromises that helped finalize the adoption of The Constitution.
