Does Succession mean Success?
Ecological succession is the process of change in the species found in an ecological community over time.
Succession is the cause of changes in an ecosystem which can lead to changes in the species found in that ecosystem. The consequences of this change can sometimes be a subtle and sometimes an overt alteration of the environment.
