Developing Your Personal Voice: Final Project Lesson

Introduction

This is your time to combine your knowledge of how to develop strong compositions and to create work that is personal to you. In this section,

You will develop TWO artworks using a minimum of TWO media in each. The artworks should be based on personal experiments, research, and should show your style.

Before we began, you researched contemporary, mixed- media artists for the discussion. You spent time experimenting with materials and processes. You created a variety of practice work.

Now, it is time to figure out your content and compositions. Use your experiments, work from sketchbooks/ art journals throughout the year, available materials, and artist research.

Extension

Artist Research

There is no limit to how many projects you create. The more you are able to do, the stronger your work will become. Attempt to create three or four works instead of just two.

  • Did you explore content based on personal interests or personal experience?
  • Did you create work with strong compositions?
