It is now time to put all of what you've learned together as you craft your own 10 minute play. This module will break down the process and will walk you through the steps. By the end, you will have written and produced your own play, demonstrating all that you have learned to this point.
Module Lessons Preview
In this module, we will study the following topics:
Subject, Genre, Plot, Characters, and Dialogue: Writing the outline and first drafts of a play can be overwhelming. This microlesson will break down the process into manageable sections.
Critical Response and Revisions: As you have learned by now, critical response and revisions are an important part of the writing process. There are several critical response methods. The Critical Response Process developed by Liz Lerman is a known method for helping to provide feedback on developing work. This microlesson will walk you through this Lerman's process.
Staged Readings: Once your script is complete, the next stage is to produce a rehearsed staged reading of the entire play for public feedback. This microlesson will walk you through the steps as you stage your own reading of your 10 Minute Play.
