ATPT - Average Atomic Mass (Lesson)
Average Atomic Mass
Introduction
Average atomic mass is not obtained from a single atom. Rather, average atomic mass is the average mass per atom of a typical sample of any certain element. This calculation takes into account the abundance of the isotopes that exist for any element. While you complete this lesson, keep in mind that isotopes have the same atomic number but differing numbers of neutrons.
