Visual Data Presentation
Introduction
Why is it important to visualize your data? Data visualization highlights business operations strengths and exposes problems. Huge amounts of data are usually overwhelming and difficult to process, thus effective charts, graphs, and tables can simplify complex data and bring it to life, enabling us to make important decisions.
However, wrong visual aids can actually mislead, so it’s important to be careful when selecting visual data tools. Different types of charts and graphs have different purposes. Proper formatting is very important, too. Typically, it’s best to keep visual aids simple and uncluttered.
This lesson provides the basics of visual data presentation in Excel.

Scatter Charts
Scatter charts are used to show the correlation between two variables. For example, a scatter chart would be useful for showing the relationship between daily high temperatures and ice cream sales. Scatter charts are not as commonly used by businesses and organizations but they can be very useful.
Here is a tutorial that shows you how to create a scatter chart (also known as scatter plot). There is no audio with the video.
