Printing and Sharing Worksheet Data
Introduction
It is not unusual for someone to create an Excel spreadsheet that is used by other people. It is also not unusual for some of these other people not to understand how Excel works. When such a person is using one of your spreadsheets, you may worry that they will unintentionally misuse or corrupt the data. Fortunately, Excel allows you to protect your spreadsheets before sharing! Also, you may simply choose to print your data and Excel offers different printing options.
This lesson contains an overview of various Excel worksheet printing and sharing options.
Excel Options
Cheese Shop Order Form Exercise
In this exercise, you will practice protecting the worksheet. Open the Cheese Shop Order Form workbook spreadsheet from the book icon in the upper right corner and make the following changes. When done, check your answer by viewing the demo video below. There is no audio with this video.
- Unlock the Pounds Ordered cells (C7:C13), so customers can type in the number of pounds they would like to order.
- Password-protect the worksheet.
- Change the print orientation to Landscape.
- Change Scaling to Fit Sheet on One page.
- Print to Adobe PDF (if available).
