Introduction
As you have learned in your previous business education classes, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is much more than a co-curricular student organization – it is an avenue for gaining critical and valuable employability skills. In this module, we will pay particular attention to teamwork skills, planning and decision making, and the elements of professional appearance. We will also look at the role of an FBLA officer. Serving in the role of an FBLA officer opens the door to numerous opportunities for students. Take a look at the Road Map to Success that you can follow and gain skills through involvement with FBLA.
Module Lessons Preview
In this module, we will study the following topics:
Teamwork: Teamwork results from the combined action of a group of people, especially when they work together in an effective and efficient capacity.
Planning and Decision Making: Planning is a critical component of decision making – planning is thinking before doing. Decision making is a process in determining a course of action.
Professional Appearance: The way you look plays a significant role in your success. Proper grooming and professional appearance are important in gaining that positive first impression.
Becoming an FBLA Officer: Involvement in FBLA as an FBLA Officer can be the first step in becoming a successful business man or woman.
