Introduction to Major Triads

Triads are special chords, or set of horizontal pitches, that are always built using specific scale degrees. In this microlesson, we will explore these special chords.

When creating triads, there are actually different ways to arrive at the correct answer. We can do this through a pattern of half steps, remembering interval relationships, or through the use of a formula. Watch the video presentation below to learn more.
