IAP - Scoring the AP Lit Exam Lesson
Introduction
Now that you have an understanding of the components of the AP English Literature Exam, it is time to start thinking about how to score the exam. It isn’t as simple as earning a 90%, which equals an A, or a 65% is a high F. Instead, the all exams are scored on a 1-5 scale with each score considered as follows:
5 – Extremely Well Qualified
4-- Well Qualified
3 – Qualified
2-- Possibly qualified
1 – No Recommendation for College Credit
What constitutes each level of scoring is variable with each exam, and the purpose of this microlesson is to learn exactly how the scores on the AP Exam English Literature Exam are determined.
